Street Aid Charity Cambridge Calendar 2022
Cambridge University Press Bookshop has teamed up with popular local photographer, Andrew Pearce, to produce a fundraising calendar for Cambridge Street Aid.
All proceeds will go to Cambridge Street Aid, a local, City Council-run charity, which provides grants to homeless people in the city, helping them to get off, and stay off, the streets.
Landmarks featured in the calendar include Kings’ College Chapel and the Bridge of Sighs at St John’s College, alongside little-seen views from inside other Cambridge colleges.
Cllr Mike Davey, Executive Councillor for Finance and Resources on Cambridge City Council, said: “There are lots of reasons why people beg on the street. Each person has their own story to tell, and many of us instinctively want to give money to someone we think needs our help. But giving money directly to people on the streets can actually keep them on the streets for longer.
“As well as providing practical help to people on the streets, Street Aid gives those who want to help an alternative to handing money directly to people. If you donate to Street Aid, your donation is combined with hundreds of others to make a meaningful sum that will make a real difference to someone’s life. Every single penny donated goes directly to grants for some of the most vulnerable people in our city. I am grateful to Cambridge University Press for their support.”
Dimensions: 23cm x 26cm.
All proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be donated to Cambridge Street Aid.
